QUROPE WorkPackage 7:
Collaboration with related well-established R&D and with industry
WP7 plans to create links with well-established R&D communities (e.g., telecommunications, computer science) as well as with industry, in order to establish a long-term collaboration and to facilitate the take up by industry. The goal is to facilitate and accelerate the development of QIPC and related technologies.
Results and Accomplishments
- Database of industries
- A database of industries with interest in QIPC has been initiated. This list is publicly available and will be up-dated continuously.
- Industrial Session at QIPC'07
- An 'Industrial Perspectives' session was organized at the QIPC'07 conference in Barcelona, with contributions from four high-profile speakers from international information technology industries: Stan Williams (HP labs), Jun'ichi Sone (NEC), John Dubois (Senetas) and Gregoire Ribordy (idQuantique). Details about the presentations and pictures from the event can be found on the QAP web site and a short documentary movie is available in our Interactive section.

- An second 'Industrial Perspectives' session was organized at the QIPC'09 conference in Rome, with contributions from Erwan Bigan (Swisscom SA), Philippe Painchault (Thales), Gaby Lenhart, (ETSI), and Gregoire Ribordy (idQuantique).
