List of HOWTO's
- How do I use the RSS feed?
- How do I use the IRC channel?
- How do I play the videos?
-
The video files on the QUROPE site are in DivX format, they are compressed and scaled-down versions of original files extracted from MiniDV tapes, DVDs or other high-quality formats. You will need a special codec to view DivX files, there are free DivX codecs available for Windows and Mac (use this in particular, if you want to play the files in Windows Media Player). The original DivX player is available for Windows and Mac.
If your browser doesn't have a plugin to play this format internally, you should download the files to your hard disc (right-click, Save-As) and play them with a stand-alone video player. This is also recommended if you have connection problems (resulting in choppy audio and/or video).
Other (recommended!) possibilities include the excellent open-source video players from videolan and mplayer both of which are freely available for several platforms and include all the necessary codecs.
Please send a mail to theussl@nbi.dk if you have any problems or questions about the videos.
