QIPC Young Investigator Award 2007

We are happy to announce that by decision of the QUROPE - QIPC Award Committee and the Governing Board of QUROPE, the

2007 European Quantum Information Young Investigator Award

has been awarded to

Dr. Michal Horodecki

For his remarkable overall achievements in the field of QIPC, and for the recent discovery of the quantum state merging and its implications.

and

Dr. Michael Wolf

For his recent groundbreaking contributions to the determination of quantum capacities of quantum channels, bridging quantum information and many-body physics, and to deep understanding of Gaussian quantum systems.

The Award, consisting of a diploma and 3000€ to be split equally between the two winners, will be presented at the QIPC conference in Barcelona, October 15-19, 2007.
